Daren was so helpful to us. He explained everything so we could understand the process. He had the patience to walk us through several things, even though it took quite a bit of time, especially helping us with the technical side of the loan. He and his staff got back to us right away when we had questions. We appreciated that so much. He put us at ease and made the process go smoothly for us. We found many issues with this house a couple days before buying, when we tried to back out, we were told we would be sued for breach of contract. Now we're stuck with it and it has at least 3 leaks in the roof, the sellers broke a window before we bought it, the walls are coming apart at the ceiling, and we continue to find more and we've only bought it 7 days ago!

While the VA appraisal is meant to assess the home’s value at face value, it doesn’t identify or predict underlying condition issues, which is why a separate home inspection is always recommended. That said, I hear how overwhelming this feels, and I’m sorry this has been your experience.

We’ve used VU twice and a smaller lender once for our three total times we’ve purchased a home using the VA Loan. Will highly recommend them over and over as we haven’t seen many other lenders top their customer service and support throughout the process. We always feel informed and like we’re part of the entire process during each step, whereas other lenders keep to themselves while working on things behind the scenes. Grateful for VU and will always recommend them for VA Loans.
