My experience as a first time home buyer was absolutely wonderful! No matter when I had questions, Jake McQuitty took care of us. Regardless of the complexity. He not only gave us answers but never wasted an opportunity to educate my wife and I on the home buying process and requirements. We kept the questions coming and he was patient enough to walk us through every step of the process. We are a military family and had to be uprooted and in a home in 30 days. My wife and I went from choosing a home to being clear to close in under 12 days and all of the credit goes to Jake and his rapid assistance. My first experience with VU was phenomenal. My second loan experience with them was a bit of a let down. They charged me fees on things that I don't think they should have. All of the small fees add up. When someone is buying a home, they need to save as much as possible. There are way too many unnecessary fees, perhaps VU could downsize its unnecessary personnel and programs, and that would allow it to cut out some of the fees.
