There were parts of the process that were frustrating and difficult, but it wasnt the fault of Bruce and Veterans United, in my opinion. Dealing with NIFA proved to be cumbersome.
The whole process was good in the beginning but when it got to the whole closing process it was hectic and stressful and we heard too many times that this was skipped or overlooked. If I had to rate just closing process I would give it a 1
VU didn't comp some fees like I have had Wells Fargo do in the past, which was disappointing. Also VU's doc signing interface (website) is clunky and buggy. So bad was almost a deal-breaker. I strongly recommend using Docusign or Dotloop.
Nick helped us with the underwriting process, which because of the underwriters we were held up from their misunderstanding of how our business works and pays us as self employed people.
Very straight forward, detailed, and easily accomplished. We felt very informed about every part of the process and Nick Schuster definitely took the time to educate us on anything we had questions on, or needed guidance with.
