This is my 3rd VA Home Loan and for some reason, the underwriter was being extremely picky about my time/travel share details. Started the process with a higher than normal debt to income ratio due to an auto loan my ex wife was supposed to take over (and eventually did). Just seemed out of the norm as I had almost the exact same background during my last loan application process...I'm sure there were differences but this was not expected and seemed really intrusive.
The process was pretty easy otherwise. The online to-do list and document center was user-friendly and easy to navigate.
Having not bought a home in 20 years, we felt like first time buyers. When the team put something in the app, they followed up with an email or a call and kept us on track for the estimated closing date. It seemed too good to be true the way the new home mortgage went as it was seamless- but it was true. Only because they cared and they focused on us as a customer-First rate experience! Working with Veterans United was a blessing for us. We had been searching for our forever home for the past 3 years.
