Very excited about closing on my new Lake home. That being said, I’m inclined to rate VU team with a 10. In this case however, they were truly great in every respect from my questions and helping me to understand my options moving forward through the process. I asked for a fairly quick closing and they made it happen. When you don’t understand the complexities and process in purchasing a new home, it takes a dedicated team of professionals like Veterans United to make it happen for this very happy veteran. We had a great experience with Veterans United. I worked with Brandon, Caytlin, Ali, and Stephanie and it was truly a seamless process. We worked without a realtor (aka we didn’t know anything) and they helped us literally every step of the way and guided us through the whole process. I know there is sometimes some skepticism to use a VA loan in a competitive market because of timelines, etc but the team was able to meet every deadline with days to spare. I am so happy we got paired with this team to work with. I cannot recommend them enough.
So I was looking out the window watching some condos being built 5 stories below and 1/2 mile away. And then I thought, I wonder how much I now qualify for on a home loan.So I went to my computer and started looking at loan sites or was it on realtor.com?? No matter, something asked me if I was a Veteran and filling in some info I was called by Victoria McGhee who asked some questions and came back with the loan pre-approval amount and assigned a realtor to me - if I wanted. I was hesitant but I did talk with Joe Maggi, LPT Realty and I gave him parameters of what I was looking for. About 6 months later (and looking on the side outside my parameters at times) the townhome/condo and its neighborhood popped up and now I can move in!There were a lot more steps of course and and renovations to be done but it has come to be! Did I mention the elevator to my Apartment on the fifth floor has been broken going on 5 months - I took it as a nudge from God. Time to move!! : )
