Working with Brice at Veterans United was an absolute blessing. As a first-time homebuyer navigating this journey on my own after divorce, I was honestly nervous about the process—but Brice made everything feel manageable and even exciting. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, patient, and truly a steady guide through every step. What stood out most was how attentive and supportive he was—not just with me, but with making sure my daughter and I felt confident and cared for the entire way. Thanks to Brice, we’re now in our beautiful new home, living the American dream once again. If you're looking for a lender who is organized, trustworthy, and genuinely invested in your success, I can't recommend Veterans United—or Brice—highly enough!
Everything seemed fine until 18 hours before closing. My "Loan Team" was reasonably responsive throughout the 60-day process--although there were times went it was hard to actually speak to someone. We worked through those communication issues and everything seem like it was on track until 4pm the afternoon before Closing Day when I received a note from my loan officer that said his team was still trying to work out "cash to close" and that the underwriter needed a few more documents from me. Long-story-short---the next 18 hours were absolutely chaotic, frenzied, and stressful to the point of ridiculous. The issues were all on VU's end, and unfortunately, they could have been worked out the week before closing when I asked the team "is there anything else you need from me?" We had to delay closing by four hours. Our real estate agent and title attorney have participated in dozens of closings, and they said they had never seen anything so poorly executed. The reputation of Veterans United was tarnished by our experience. I would love to discuss my experience with the CEO or a C-suite member of the company.
From start to finish, VU was there for us, building credit finding movers, swapping utilities and even closing. They are a truly all in one deal. We managed to close in 21 days because of the team.
Outstanding service
Veterans United truly lived up to their reputation. From start to finish, the process was well-organized, transparent, and veteran-focused. Buying a home can be stressful, especially when juggling timelines, disclosures, and last-minute changes, but my loan officer stayed engaged, responsive, and professional the entire way. What stood out most was the communication. Every question was answered clearly, expectations were set early, and when issues came up, solutions were presented—not excuses. Even when federal timing requirements affected the closing schedule, the team worked proactively to minimize impact and keep everything moving forward, including lender credits to ensure a smooth closing. As a Veteran, you want to work with people who understand VA loans inside and out and who genuinely advocate for you. Veterans United and my loan officer did exactly that. I felt supported, respected, and confident throughout the process.I would absolutely recommend Veterans United to any Veteran looking for a smooth, honest, and professional home-buying experience.
We had a great experience and great resourceful people helping us the entire time. Shane did an outstanding job, keeping us informed at every step in the process.
